We maintain a lifelong commitment to your health and well being.
Like many of its patients, Canyon Medical Center is a medical clinic that grew up in Portland. The clinic’s roots trace back to the Natural Childbirth and Family Clinic, or NCFC as it used to be called. NCFC began over 30 years ago as an entity consisting of a group of highly skilled physicians, ND midwives, practitioners, acupuncturists, massage therapists, and medical staff. We hope to continue the legacy of offering care that beautifully integrates science-based medicine with a keen appreciation for the body’s innate ability to heal itself. It is a joy for us that so many of the clinic’s longstanding patients continue their healthcare with us. Many children and adults have been coming to Canyon Medical Center since their birth.

Dr. Williams knew as a high school student that she would be a physician. She went on to receive a B.A. with honors from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA as a Spanish major with a Premedical Studies focus. She had a unique opportunity during her undergraduate education in which she was selected to spend an entire summer in a simulated medical school experience at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. There she completed two rotations in the Labor and Delivery and Emergency departments. This is where she believed she gained a competitive edge that ultimately led to her success as a medical student.
Dr. Williams is a graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine where she received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and certificate in Natural Childbirth. As a student she completed several clinical internships with a focus in women’s health, chronic disease management, and minor surgery to name a few.
